After Extraction - Prep for Drying
Extraction includes cleaning up debris such as blown in insulation or in this case there were cases of toilet paper in the storage room that disintegrated with so much water on it. We extracted and cleaned up everything and then were able to put antimicrobial on it and set up drying equipment for the dryout process. Not only do we need to dry out the carpet, pad and subfloor – in this scenario we were able to dry baseboards, door trim and jambs, etc. We also had to dry the ceiling on the floor below this one so we removed damaged ceiling tiles and aimed the air movers upwards.
